Jake King embodied the Tiger spirit that, as one of Richmond's cult heroes, made him an endearing figure at the Club. King plied his trade as a plumber before being drafted as a rookie from Melbourne’s suburban AFL competition in 2006, and eventually said goodbye to Tigerland after 107 senior appearances. His fierce and explosive approach to the contest, and - as discovered this year - kind-heartedness towards those in need ensured his unique legacy will live on at Richmond for years to come
